NorCal Tea Party Patriots Usher Christmas in at the Auburn, Ca. Parade of Lights

Norcal for blog

This is my third parade with the Tea Party Patriots.  I made a commitment to become involved when I attended the April 15th rally at the Capitol in Sacramento, Ca.  My son and I organized the July 4th Parade in my hometown of Roseville, Ca.  (We took honorable mention by the way)  Then on the same day we gathered in Auburn to march in their parade.  When we marched on Independence Day the attitude was completely different.  In Roseville,  I had one spectator come into the street booing me and the other Patriots.  There were many spectators that would break into chants of “Obama, Obama”.  There were also many cases of middle finger waving, if you get my drift.  To all of this my response is always to blow kisses back or my favorite chant in return to the “Obama” chant is, “Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho, tax and spend has got to go.”  Please don’t misunderstand, at the Roseville parade, we had put out the call asking Patriots to line the street in our support.  So, especially, in Roseville we had a lot of cheers and signs also.

The mood in Auburn last evening was quite different.  There were many more cheers last night compared to July.  Only once as the float started to pass did I hear a very muted chant of “Obama”.  Only once did I see a discenting face against the Patriot movement.  There was no middle finger waving at all that I saw and I walk the street, I don’t ride the float because I like to work the crowd.

There were calls,”Your the tea party people!”,  many people ran into the street for a high five, as we would pass many would stand and begin to applaud.  America is waking up.  They are gaining their roots again.  The best response I heard all night from the crowd was “Merry Christmas to the Red, White and Blue.  Let’s hope we spend next Christmas as a free country.  God Bless America and Merry Christmas to All!

Hi – great article. Well, the healthcare plan passed. We don’t yet know everything there is to know about it, but we all know that it is that it will be expensive. As a small business owner, I’m concerned about the increase in taxes. I want to hire more employees, but this plan makes that very hard for us small guys. Here’s the big question: If none of us are hiring, how is this economy going to recover? Anyway… nice site… I’m subscribed to your RSS feed now so I’ll check in more often!
