This blogger has shared on several occasions the audacity of Color of Change, a Van Jones, self proclaimed communist, start-up.  Once again, I have received mail requesting their followers to actually prod public places to stop playing Fox News in the market place.  Let’s fight fire with fire and request it in every bar, restaurant, gym(mine plays Fox and hears from me when it doesn’t)or other franchise that plays news. I arrived at the school early to get a good seat to see the candidates.  Carly Fiorina and Chuck Devore were on the line up. Not long after I arrived I saw Chuck and began to take pics and tweet them for my followers to retweet.  Chuck was up first and gave a brief synopsis of his voting record and what he wanted to accomplish, BOUNCE BOXER!

After Chuck finished up, several other candidates took the dais.  I kept looking for Carly and was beginning to think she had not come when my son showed up and asked me if I wanted to meet Diane Devore.  I was delighted.  I had been following Diane on twitter for some time and followed him out  to where Diane was waiting.  Chuck was not far away shaking hands and answering questions.

Diane Devore is the portrait of the Patriot mom.  Even though Chuck Devore has raised more money from grassroots donations than the Democratic candidate, they handle it frugally.  I find out through some questioning that they have driven with their 2 daughters (whom Diane home schools) and their dog from Irvine, Ca. so we can hear Chuck speak in the small community of El Dorado Hills, Ca. They have another stop in Northern Ca. on Thursday and Friday and then on to Bakersfield, Ca. for a speech by 10:00 on Saturday.

Then a young man comes from the school gym to join us, I raise the question, “Is Carly here? I haven’t seen her.”  He turns to me and replies, “She is in a backroom, she does not like to speak with “We the people”.  He asks, “Do you make ½ million dollars a year?  If so, she may be interested in meeting you.”   

His description held true.  She appeared and went directly to the podium.  Took a few questions and retreated. 

Chuck stayed outside the gym on the sidewalk the entire time answering questions, mingling and shaking hands.

Color of Change along with Green for All has boycotted Glenn Beck, John Stossel and now they will have a panel at the Rucker gala awards dinner on how to counter those radical fringe Tea Party People. Puh lease.

More political posturing from the GOP establishment? More Idolatry “fetish” within the GOP? For those of you that watch Glenn Beck at all you’ll probably recognize this analogy, “when the right hand is waving frantically in the air, keep a close eye on what the left hand is doing”, here’s what the left hand is doing. Recently the “rock star” of the GOP establishment decided to sing of few Tea Party cover tunes to attempt to shore up his sinking approval ratings in the Placer County area, and the GOP establishment (and the sheep that follow them) fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. The current corrupt leadership of the Placer GOP Central Committee (Tom Hudon, George Park, and Aaron Park aka. Sgt. York, the blogger kicked off of Red County for corruption) crew had this to say regarding the speech Tom McClintock gave on the floor recently.

“Whoops. I heard the Tea Party in Placer County does not like Tom McClintock. I guess the Tea Party in the other 99.999999% of America thinks he is a rock star.

On 5/21 he got up in the floor of Congress and lit Felipe Calderon, Barak Obama and those opposing Arizona’s border law on fire.

But there is now an element in our political structure that seeks to undermine that concept of “E Pluribus Unum” it seeks to hyphenate Americans, to develop linguistic divisions, to assign rights and preferences based on race and ethnicity, and to elevate devotion to foreign ideologies and traditions, while at the same thime denigrating American culture, American values and American founding principles.

In order to do so, they know that they have to stop the process of assimilation. In order to do that, they must undermine our immigration laws.

If the Tea Party does not support this guy – then who will they support.”

They seem to think the heavens opened up and rays of light shined down to give Tom McClintock some “infinite wisdom” that the rest of us aren’t privy too. It’s so comical watching the corrupt Placer GOP establishment get all “wee-wee’d” up over what amounts to nothing more than a political posturing speech to those of us at the grassroots level that I almost hate to say anything, but, I’m afraid I have to call Bull***t on this one. Let me explain by pointing out a few facts you may want to be aware of.

1. Fact: Tom McClintock’s “approval” ratings are dropping like a rock in the Placer County area because the Tea Party continues to unravel layers of corruption from Tom McClintock’s cronies within the Placer GOP establishment and he’s either too imcompetent to know about it, condones it, or is an active participant in it…time will tell which it is. In the meantime, the Placer GOP has chosen to engage in open warfare with the Tea Party in Placer County. We’ve had hit pieces written against us, been ridiculed, talked down too, threatened, car windows busted out, and campaign signs destroyed, etc. All since we started “asking questions boldly” about what appears to be money laundering and embezzling operations within the Placer GOP.
2. Fact: That chirping sound you heard during the final weeks of the healthcare debate…..those were the crickets outside the McClintock camp….it would have been nice if Tom McClintock could have stood up and fought with even half the passion he tried to convey with this speech (that was when the “fight” was actually going on, when it actually counted). The day before the healthcare vote, the grassroots and Tea Party Patriots had tens of thousands at the nations capitol, with hundreds of thousands more rallying across the country urging the people to contact their congress people….and you could still hear the crickets chirping from the McClintock camp (he probably recognized there was trouble when Dan Lungren was starting to be seen as the “rockstar” in Norcal Republican politics during the healthcare fight). What’s more, the Thursday before the healthcare vote I was so frustrated that standing knee to knee with a McClintock staffer, I asked “what the hell is McClintock doing right now, he’s invisible”, only to get the response, “Tom’s in DC eating Bon-Bon’s” On the eve of the the biggest govt takeover of the private sector in this country’s history, and McClintock’s camp is cracking jokes with concerned citizens….sorry Tom, we are not amused.
3. Fact: The fight to win the hearts and minds of the American people was over a couple of weeks ago. In late April you had the Tea Party State coordinators and our brilliant lady patriots from the SoCal Tax Revolt Coalition (see here) already taking the bull by the horns and putting together a “Buycott” to support Arizona, organizing rallies, and taking to the street squaring off with violent racists and union thugs to win the hearts and minds of the American people to support Arizona (see here, here, and here). When the fight for the hearts and minds of America was being waged, you were hearing those crickets again from the McClintock camp.

A quote from Mark Twain comes to mind:

“In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”

The fact that he’s willing to make a speech now (that has no bearing on any piece of legislature), and quite frankly, hundreds of thousands of us at the grassroots level have been making for weeks to win the hearts and minds of America, doesn’t make him a hero, it makes him an “opportunist”. The Tea Parties were the heroes here, McClintock was timid for waiting until it was “safe” to make that speech, the Tea Parties had already won the hearts and minds of 60-70% of the country to back Arizona’s stand, before he uttered a single word.

As a guy that supported McClintock in the 2003 recall, it saddens me to see him go from a guy that was so anti-establishment , to a guy that’s been corrupted by power and BECOME the establishment. It really makes you wonder just how low the bar for the GOP has become when all you have to do is lay out a little “useless rhetoric”, AFTER the fight is over, and they’ll see you as a rockstar…..pathetic. The only ones in the area that see him as a rockstar anymore are establishment types with a “political idolatry fetish”, those too naïve to see what he’s up to, or those that are in on the action.

If the grassroots were still sleeping, I’d have to call this little move a brilliant political maneuver. Unfortunately for McClintock and his corrupt cronies within the Placer GOP, grassroots republicans are no longer asleep, and we have a new mantra…..”WE CAN DO BETTER”

Oh yeah, and to answer the question of “who would we support?”, well, off the top of my head, I’d say maybe someone like this guy, he’s actually doing something more than dishing out safe political rhetoric on the tails of Tea Party victories……I’m just sayin.

With the situation in our country today, the greatest hope we have is to vote them out of office in November 2010 and November 2012.  What if,  with that vote you would decide who counts your vote and the elected were determined to steal any close vote?  Sounds a little convoluted.  Let me simplify.

In Minnesota, in 2008, a crack pot comedian, that could barely spell parliamentary procedure was elected Senator of the great state of Minnesota.  Al Franken.  When you add, Arlen Specter becoming a Democrat, it gave BHO a super majority in Congress.  With that and some space case Republicans, the American people got Obamacare shoved down our throats. But, I digress.

The point is,  the responsibility of the vote count lands with the Secretary of State.  When George W.  Bush won the count in Florida in 2000 Katherine Harris, the Secreatary of State at the time, played a central figure.  She certified George W. Bush the winner.  To this day, the left swears that they were betrayed and the election was stolen, by the counter.

Since then, the left has spent millions and have been successful by installing Progressives in offices of the Secretary of State in 11states since 2006.

The vehicle for this planned hijacking of democracy is a below-the-radar non-federal “527″ group called the Secretary of State Project. The entity can accept unlimited financial contributions and doesn’t have to disclose them publicly until well after the election.

It was revealed during a panel discussion at the Democratic Party’s convention last year that the Democracy Alliance, a financial clearinghouse created by Soros (donated $23,450,000.00 to 527 groups in 2004) and Progressive insurance magnate Peter B. Lewis, (donated $22,997,000.00 to 527 groups in 2004) approved the Secretary of State Project as a grantee. The Democracy Alliance aspires to create a permanent political infrastructure of nonprofits, think tanks, media outlets, leadership schools, and activist groups — a kind of “vast left-wing conspiracy” to compete with the conservative movement. It has brokered more than $100 million in grants to liberal nonprofits, including ACORN.

The latest fundraising appealfrom the SoS Project warns:

In the 2000 and 2004 elections, we saw the results of extreme Republican tactics to intimidate voters and steal the presidential election — the disastrous presidency of George W. Bush. Today, we watch as Republicans go to even greater extremes — even carrying guns to town hall meetings. If they are willing to go to such extremes now, how far will they go on November 6, 2012 to steal the election from President Barack Obama? 

For 2010 SoS Project is trying to reelect  California Secretary of State Debra Bowen, whom the group describes as “one of the most progressive Secretaries of State in the nation.” Bowen was endorsedin her previous run by California ACORN PAC. (Notice the link to Acorn has been scrubbed)


SoS Project is also endorsing Jocelyn Benson, candidate for secretary of state in Michigan, whom it lauds as an “[e]lection law scholar and community organizer.”


Benson is a candidate ACORN would love. The bio SoS Project provides credits Benson with running a 2004 “voter protection campaign in 21 states, deploying 17,000 trained election law lawyers.” Last year in Michigan, she helped to lead the fight to stop the Republican secretary of state “from disenfranchising voters who were victims of home foreclosures.”

Its a brilliant strategy, put your people in position to count the votes, and you can steal every close election.

The secretary of state candidates the group endorses all sing the same familiar song about electoral integrity issues that we routinely hear from ACORN: Voter fraud is largely a myth, vote suppression is used widely by Republicans, cleansing the dead and fictional characters from voter rolls should be avoided until embarrassing media reports emerge, and anyone who demands that a voter produce photo identification before pulling the lever is a racist, democracy-hating fascist.

The group was co-founded in July 2006 by James Rucker, formerly director of grassroots mobilization for MoveOn.org Political Action and Moveon.org Civic Action. Rucker is also a co-founder of Color of Change, a race-baiting left-wing hate group. (Co-founder with Van Jones, self proclaimed communist)


Its website claims, “A modest political investment in electing clean candidates to critical Secretary of State offices is an efficient way to protect the election.” Indeed. Political observers know that a relatively small amount of money can help swing a little-watched race for a state office few people understand or care about.


The strategic targeting of the SoS Project yielded astounding results in 2008 and 2006.


In 2008, SoS Project-backed Democrats Linda McCulloch (Montana), Natalie Tennant (West Virginia), Robin Carnahan (Missouri), and Kate Brown (Oregon) won their races. Only Carnahan was an incumbent. The Center for Public Integrity reported that the group performed this electoral feat in the 2008 election cycle with a mere $280,000.


In 2006, along with Minnesota’s Ritchie, SoS Project-endorsed Jennifer Brunner (Ohio), who defied federal law last year by refusing to take steps to verify 200,000 questionable voter registrations, trounced her opponent, 55% to 41%. Democrats supported by the group also won that year in New Mexico, Nevada, and Iowa. The group claims it spent about $500,000 in that election cycle.

It has been my experience that when the left in this county begins to lose the debate-the right becomes a “racist”. The one thing that “The Color of Change” leaves out of its missive, if not for the Republicans in Congress in 1964, the blacks still would be considered “second-class citizens.” If not for the Republican Party in 1860, the Civil War might not have taken place.

On Wednesday, Rand Paul, the GOP’s US Senate candidate for Kentucky repeated his claim that a central piece of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was wrong, and that businesses should be free to discriminate against whomever they please.¹ Paul and his supporters don’t seem to care that without federal intervention, Black people might still be second-class citizens in many aspects of American life: where we eat, where we work, even where we live.

Then, on Thursday, FOX anchor John Stossel went even further, calling for the section of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that applies to business to be repealed.² And he’s refused to back down.

While Paul may have started this outrage, he can be taken care of at the ballot box — FOX News can’t.

Stossel’s position is an affront to Black America and everyone in this country who believes in racial progress. It’s one thing to be a candidate with backwards views. It’s another to be employed by a supposed news network and to use that platform to push hateful ideas that our nation repudiated decades ago.

It’s time that FOX drop Stossel. If people like you stand up in huge numbers and FOX does not act, it will be clear that FOX stands with Stossel and his values — and we’ll go directly after the network with a public campaign unlike anything we’ve pursued to date.

FOX has a history of providing a platform for bigoted views and race-baiting. Most recently you helped us hold FOX accountable by stripping Glenn Beck of more than 100 of his advertisers, after Beck called President Obama a “racist” with a “deep-seated hatred for white people.”³

But Stossel has arguably gone beyond Beck, echoing segregationist arguments from the Jim Crow era:

“It’s time now to repeal that part of the law because private businesses ought to get to discriminate. And I won’t ever go to a place that’s racist and I will tell everybody else not to and I’ll speak against them. But it should be their right to be racist.”

Stossel went on to argue something that history has disproved time and again — that private business will do the right thing, without being compelled by laws, because no one would patronize a business that discriminates. It’s a blind belief in market fundamentalism that just isn’t in sync with reality. In the ’60s, white-owned businesses that allowed Blacks as customers lost business. Market forces actually perpetuated discrimination; they didn’t combat it. Simply put: segregation would still be active in parts of this country if government hadn’t stepped in.

And recent history has shown that the public accommodations section of the Civil Rights Act is still needed. In 1994, it was used to hold Denny’s Restaurants accountable, after the chain repeatedly refused to seat Black customers.⁴ Just last year, it was used to go after a Philadelphia pool that prevented Black children from swimming there.⁵

It’s time for FOX News to make a choice. Are they going to give Stossel a platform to revive dangerously outdated perspectives? Or will they move with the rest of the nation into the 21st century?
